Pizza Dip:

Ok- so I found this recipe on line and it is soooooooo yummy!!!! Served with fresh flat bread. I just make dough like I am going to make pizza crust. Sprinkle it with olive oil and salt. Bake.

I altered the original recipe that I found online.  I needed it to be more big family friendly- plus who wants to run out of something so yummy.  Better to have left overs than not enough!

Pizza Dip

(The picture is not my original- it comes from the online recipe site where I found this and other fun recipes called “closet cooking”- I didn’t have time to take a pix- my kids ate it all up)

Pizza Dip

A layered, hot cheesy dip with all of the great pizza flavours including pizza sauce, cheese, pepperoni, olives and green peppers.

Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

  • 8 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup mozzarella, grated
  • 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
  • 1 jar pizza sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella, grated
  • 1/2 cup parmigiano reggiano (parmesan), grated
  • 6 ounces pepperoni, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • 1 small can black olives, sliced
  1. Mix the cream cheese, sour cream mayonnaise, mozzarella and parmigiano reggiano and spread it across the bottom of a 9X13 pan.
  2. Spread the pizza sauce on top and sprinkle on the cheese, pepperoni, green pepper and olives.
  3. Bake in a preheated 350F oven until the cheese has melted, bubbling and golden brown, about 20 minutes.
  4. We served ours with fresh sliced bell peppers- raw.  The kids dunked them in  the pizza sauce too. yum!
